ALAMEDA — Mike Mayock is on board to work with Jon Gruden to help rebuild the Raiders.
The long-time draft and personnel expert for ESPN was hired as a personnel executive Sunday, the Bay Area News Group confirmed. Mayock’s addition to the front office was first reported by ESPN.
The Raiders have made no announcement regarding Mayock. Players will clean out their lockers Monday following a season-ending 35-3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Gruden is scheduled to speak with the media at 1 p.m.
Mayock told reporters covering the Raiders game at Kansas City on Sunday that he had interviewed for the job.
