Tuesday brought good news to public officials in Oakland who are still hoping to strike a deal to keep the Oakland Raiders home as owner Mark Davis lost out on Los Angeles relocation. Buying the city some time to come up with a negotiating plan to keep the Raiders home in the Bay Area for good with a new stadium.
With the Raiders now once again left with Oakland as a primary option for a new stadium, Mayor Libby Schaaf released a public statement on Tuesday night. A statement that once again featured her making it crystal clear that regardless of the NFL’s decision, public money will not be made available to Davis and the Raiders.
