During the 2020 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders used one of their two first round draft picks on cornerback Damon Arnette out of Ohio State. Considered a bit of a head-scratching pick at the time, Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock have gone out of their way to state how much they love the kid, and how he is going to help improve the defense.
While the kind words are nice, the fact is, Arnette was not projected to be a first round pick, and it may be hard for him to crack the starting lineup as a rookie.
