Las Vegas Raiders make first move, re-sign CB Lawson on 1-year deal

One day after announcing they’re now the Las Vegas Raiders, Mark Davis’ football organization was back to business.

The Raiders announced Thursday they’re bringing cornerback Nevin Lawson with them to the desert, signing him to a one-year extension.

Lawson joined the team for the 2019 season after five years with the Lions, but his first on-field appearance didn’t come until Week 7 after serving a four-game suspension for using performance-enhancing drugs. He started five of the Raiders’ last seven games following the trade of Gareon Conley to the Texans and some injuries in the Oakland secondary.
