Each team in the NFL nominates one player for the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year award. This year the Raiders' nominee is veteran defensive end Justin Tuck.
Among Tuck's charitable work, he and his wife run the R.U.S.H. For Literacy which focuses on summer learning loss and financial literacy, as success in both areas increases the likelihood that a child will attend college.
R.U.S.H. -- which stands for Read Understand Succeed Hope -- is in its eighth year. He brought the program to Oakland this year, launching the program at the Alliance Academy.
