Justin Ellis’s time in Oakland has come to an end. The former third round pick was released from injured reserve Tuesday with an injury settlement.
Ellis was one of the first moves by Jon Gruden upon his return to coaching. He signed Ellis to a 3-year, $13.5 million deal. Since then the big nose tackle has playing in just six games with one start.
The 28-year-old was injured in the first game of the 2018 season and placed on injured reserve, returning in week 13 and playing the final five games of the season.
