In preparation for a story in our annual NFL kickoff magazine, I recently sat down for an interview with Raiders coach Jon Gruden. We met in his office/hotel room at 5 a.m. — roughly 90 minutes later than for a feature I did nearly 20 years ago when I followed him around for an entire day.
