Jay Gruden lobbies 'Hard Knocks' to follow brother Jon Gruden, Raiders

If HBO's choice for "Hard Knocks" comes down to the Grudens, Jay thinks they should choose Jon.

Washington coach Jay Gruden told reporters Wednesday that he thinks Jon's Oakland Raiders are a can't-miss option this season.

"If they were smart, they would go to Oakland," the younger Gruden said. "What an entertainment value that would be: Antonio Brown, Jon Gruden, Paul Guenther, Vontaze Burfict, [Richie] Incognito. You'd be crazy not to go to Oakland. You can do us next year."

He has a point!

Local kid Dwayne Haskins competing for Washington's starting quarterback job will provide a decent amount of intrigue, but the Raiders are sitting on a collection of characters that is colorful at best and potentially combustive at worst.
