Baseball fans obsess over the trade deadline from six weeks away. The NBA’s trade deadline traditionally gets a good turnout. The NHL, well, its trade deadline is a defacto holiday in Canada.
The NFL trade deadline? Not so much. For one thing, every NFL team has playbooks, procedures and systems. The other three major sports can pretty much plug and play when they get a new player. Football is a different beast.
Oh, sure, you get surprised once a decade or so.
