The season finale of “Hard Knocks: Training Camp With the Oakland Raiders” begins on an ominous note sounded by defensive line coach Brentson Buckner.
“Everyone’s got an expiration date,” he says.
Buckner is referring to the stunning news that Indianapolis Colts quarterback and former Stanford star Andrew Luck has announced his retirement from the NFL. But, of course, the coach could just as well be talking about a large swath of players currently in camp. This is cut week, after all, and the Raiders need to trim their roster from 90 to — gasp! — 53.
