For Las Vegas Raiders fans, the wait is finally over.
Since acquiring quarterback Geno Smith in a trade from the Seattle Seahawks last month, rumors of an extension swirled almost immediately. Smith’s contract was set to expire after the 2025 season, and fans hoped this was not just the latest attempt at a one-year fix. After a brief delay, the Raiders and Smith got a deal done on Thursday to keep the quarterback under contract in Las Vegas until 2027.
With that issue settled, Smith could finally be properly introduced to Raider Nation.
