Las Vegas Raiders fans were interested to see what the new offense looked like in Week 1 against the New England Patriots. What they got was surprising, from the struggles of the run game to Geno Smith completing nine passes of 20-plus yards in the contest on his way to 362 yards through the air.
Smith is in a far better situation now than he was with the Seattle Seahawks last season, and reuniting with Pete Carroll is just a piece of the equation. Offensive coordinator Chip Kelly told CBS' broadcast team that he takes more input from Smith than any quarterback he has ever coached.
