When Geno Smith was named starting quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks in 2022, fans were skeptical about the decision.
Despite being drafted in 2013, Smith had never really shown the talent that lead to him being such a highly-touted prospect on a consistent basis. That all changed in Seattle, where Smith emerged as a viable starting quarterback and enjoyed the best stretch of his career so far. In March, Smith was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders for a third-round pick, reuniting with head coach Pete Carroll and expected to lead the charge for a new-look offense.
