Despite speculation that he could be in uniform one week after suffering a broken bone in his back, Derek Carr was inactive for the first time this season and watched Sunday’s game from the sideline.
Wearing long gray shorts and a black sweatshirt, Carr joined Khalil Mack, Rodney Hudson, Reggie Nelson and James Cowser for the pregame coin flip but was otherwise a spectator as EJ Manuel directed the Raiders’ offense.
“Took the time that we had, decided that it was best not to play him today,” Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio said.
