There will always be a link between Derek Carr and Johnny Manziel given that both quarterbacks both came to the NFL out of the same 2014 draft.
Carr is at the top of his game now with the Raiders owning a 10-3 record while Manziel is out of the game since the Browns released him in March. He's served a four-game substance abuse suspension and remains under review in connection with the league's domestic violence policy.
Talking with Sports Illustrated's MMQB, Carr said he wants to help the former Texas A&M star and 2012 Heisman Trophy winner.
