Playing in front of the most loyal fanbase in quite possibly the last outing at the Coliseum, the Oakland Raiders used the extra motivation and inspiration to give a Christmas Eve victory to the fans of Raider Nation on Monday Night football. To make the victory that much sweeter, the win came at the expense of their divisional foe Denver Broncos.
Thanks to a defense that has turned their play around in the latter half of the season, along with some extra help by the special teams, the Raiders offense was able to capitalize on the opportunities to build a multi-possession lead that at one point read 17-0 by halftime.
