Needless to say, bad blood exists between the Las Vegas Raiders and former wide receiver Davante Adams.
Acquired by the Raiders for a first and second round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and immediately locked up with a five-year, $140 million deal, Adams was presented to fans as the top wide receiver the team needed to succeed. He put together a first-team All-Pro campaign in 2022, but the relationship between player and team unraveled quickly after the release of Adams’s former teammate Derek Carr in 2023. It lead to Adams publicly requesting a trade, which he was granted when he was picked up by the New York Jets in October for a third-round pick.
