The Las Vegas Raiders have effectively been eliminated from the Daniel Jones sweepstakes.
After the former New York Giants quarterback and sixth overall pick in 2019 was released last week, it was no surprise that teams looking to improve their quarterback room would have some interest. For the Raiders, the pitch to Jones was simple: they could promise him the playing time that other teams could not. With Gardner Minshew’s season-ending broken collarbone, the Raiders could add Jones into their lineup almost immediately and see what he is capable of in their offense.
Unfortunately, Jones was quick to put an end to those rumors.
