A market was expected for Clive Walford once the Raiders waived him last Friday. And the 4th year tight end didn’t even make it past waivers. He was claimed by the Jets, who are sixth in the waiver order.
A former 3rd round pick by the Raiders out of Miami, Walford has one more year left on his rookie deal. He was touted as a do-it-all tight end out of college, but a series of injuries tripped up his development. Then he was buried on the depth chart behind Jared Cook and Lee Smith.
