In Week 6 when the Las Vegas Raiders faced off against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Powers-Johnson drew the difficult assignment of Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward. During the game, Heyward beat Powers-Johnson clean to get a sack on Raiders quarterback Aidan O’Connell, leading to the first sack ever given up by the Oregon product. As Powers-Johnson stated on “The Rush with Maxx Crosby,” the Raiders center admitted that the play served as his “welcome to the NFL” moment.
