Analyst sees path for Raiders coordinator for head coaching job

By now, the journey of Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly is well-documented.

Once seen as one of the up-and-coming coaching minds in the sport, Kelly aimed to make the transition from college football to the NFL. His tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles started positively enough, but a combination of poor roster construction and NFL defenses figuring out how to counter Kelly’s up-tempo play style lead to him getting the boot in 2015. After another rough year with the San Francisco 49ers, Kelly took a year out of football before returning to college to revitalize his coaching career.
