After more than 60 years, East Bay barber making final cut

ALAMEDA -- Dick Kellogg probably has as many stories about the legendary East Bay athletes who have visited his barber shop over the more than six decades he's been cutting hair as he's had customers.

There was that time when NFL bad boy John Matuszak wanted his head shaved as smooth as the helmet he wore as a defensive end with the Oakland Raiders. Or the day former Golden State Warrior star Chris Mullin got his signature flat top. Just don't expect Kellogg to offer up any details."What happens in the barber shop," Kellogg said with a smile, "stays in the barber shop.
