INDIANAPOLIS — The 49ers are taking care of some business at the NFL combine.
On Wednesday, a day after they signed tight end Garrett Celek to an extension on the opening day of the combine, they signed defensive tackle Quinton Dial to a three-year extension that will keep him with the team through 2020. The deal has a maximum value of $16.5 million with $5.3 million guaranteed, NFL Network reported.
Dial, 25, a 2013 fifth-round pick, had career highs in starts (15), tackles (73) and sacks (2.5) last season.
In 2016, Dial and Arik Armstead, a 2015 first-round pick, probably will start on the defensive line in the 49ers’ 3-4 defense.
