Raiders News: Terrelle Pryor could be released on Tuesday

In Raiders news today, one noted NFL analyst believes that the Oakland Raiders could be primed to release former starting quarterback Terrelle Pryor on Tuesday, providing that they can't find a suitable trade partner to gain some compensation in return.

Per NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Oakland Raiders could target Tuesday as the cut line for Pryor, based solely on the upcoming offseason workout schedule:

If Rapoport's theory proves true, some analysts believe that Pryor could find a home pre-draft as either a backup quarterback or a project for an NFL team looking to maximize a return on his natural athleticism and speed.

Terrelle Pryor had an up-and-down season with the Oakland Raiders in 2013, showing bright flashes of talent which gained him support amongst many within the Raiders' fan base.

However, inconsistency and a midseason move by coach Dennis Allen to Matt McGloin at starting quarterback killed Pryor's momentum with the Raiders in 2013 -- and as it looks, possibly for good.
