The Golden State Warriors extended their record 20-2 on Saturday afternoon against the Dallas Mavericks.
Stephen Curry scored 29 points and Klay Thompson added 25 points in their 105-98 victory over the Mavericks. Draymond Green also racked up 20 points on Saturday.
Steve Kerr, in his first season, is the first coach in NBA history to start a season 20-2.
Golden State shot 65 percent in the first quarter. In the first half, both Curry and Thompson each scored 17 points combined for more than half of the Warriors’ 66 points at halftime holding the Mavs to 37% shooting.
However, the Warriors lead diminished in the second half. Former Warriors guard Monta Ellis, helped Dallas trim the Warriors lead in the third and then once again in the final minutes of the game. Ellis had 24 points in Saturday’s game and Dirk Nowitzki added 23.
With the lead diminishing, the Dubs did not allow the Mavs to gain the lead. Golden State never surrendered their lead and ended up winning their 15th straight victory.Back to the Las Vegas Raiders Newsfeed
