5 Oakland Raiders Sleepers To Keep An Eye On In 2019 On Defense & Special Teams

There are 5 Oakland Raiders sleepers on defense that Raider Nation needs to keep an eye on in 2018. Let’s 1st start off by defining what a sleeper is exactly. A sleeper is a player who hasn’t established himself yet in the NFL or a player people are forgetting about that could have a solid upcoming season in the NFL. Maxx Crosby was drafted in the 4th round of the 2019 NFL Draft and the rest of the NFL needs to keep an eye out for the Eastern Michigan grad. Marquel Lee had 68 tackles for the Raiders last season but free agent additions Vontaze Burfict and Brandon Marshall have made Lee an afterthought. Maurice Hurst stole the show last year, but we shouldn’t forget about P.J. Hall who is entering his second season. Daniel Carlson was the 1st kicker drafted in 2018 and after being cut by the Vikings, he was great for the Raiders down the stretch of the season. Last sleeper on the list is UDFA Te’von Coney who led Notre Dame in tackles in 2018 with 123.
