Za’Darius Smith named Pro Bowl starter

Former Kentucky pass-rusher Za’Darius Smith is a Pro Bowl starter.

Just one season after being snubbed for one of football’s greatest honors, Smith earned the most fan votes among NFC outside linebackers after registering a team-high 11 1/2 sacks and three forced fumbles for the Green Bay Packers.

Now two years into his time with the Packers, Smith has picked up 25 total sacks and is the first Green Bay player to have back-to-back seasons with 11 or more sacks since Aaron Kampman (2006-07).

Smith is one of seven Green Bay Packers players to earn Pro Bowl honors, joining wide receiver Davante Adams, cornerback Jaire Alexander, tackle David Bakhtiari, guard Elgton Jenkins, running back Aaron Jones and quarterback Aaron Rodgers to make the roster.
