Woodford County standout John McCrear — who also happens to be Vince Marrow’s nephew — has committed to Murray State.
The 6-foot-8 forward out of Lexington chose the Racers over the likes of Akron, Kent State and Youngstown State, though other high-major interest has ramped up in recent weeks.
Why Murray State?
“Just the fact that it felt right,” the in-state standout said. ”It felt natural, it felt like that’s where I wanted to be from the jump, and I couldn’t get that visit out of my head.”
He took an official visit to Murray State last week, a trip that resulted in a scholarship offer from the school.
