Many were shocked in early June when ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Vince Marrow was leaving Kentucky for Louisville in move that seemed to signal that the Mark Stoops era was coming to an end in Lexington. The development was a seismic one for both programs. Marrow and Louisville got the first laugh when they stunned Kentucky with a 41-0 win to prevent yet another five-win Kentucky team from making it to the postseason. Even without Stoops running the program in Lexington, the rivalry and everything it brings is not going to go away.
