Kentucky head coach Will Stein and Tennessee offensive coordinator Jim Knowles will coach against each other on Saturday. This won’t be their first meetings.
These former Big Ten coordinators are very familiar with each other. Stein was a play-caller for two seasons at Oregon while Knowles was at Ohio State in 2024 and Penn State in 2025. These two have faced each other twice during the regular season and once in the College Football Playoff. The fourth meeting will occur at Neyland Stadium.
How have these matchups gone? These are the numbers.
Oregon was hit by an avalanche against Ohio State in the Rose Bowl, but Stein’s offense has had a lot of success in regular season meetings.
