Well, this is embarrassing.
Before Will Muschamp left the field at the end of the first half, Cole Cubelic asked the South Carolina head coach about his team’s rushing attack. In front thousands of SEC Network viewers at home, Muschamp said, “We’re running the ball well. We need to get back into 12 personnel and run back to the nub side.”
What did South Carolina proceed to do on the first play of the second half? Get into 12 personnel and run to the nub side (essentially the weak side, but it’s a little more complex than that).
