Wild first day of SEC football shows anything is still possible for Kentucky in 2020

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Before the games kicked off Saturday, we already suspected the 2020 Southeastern Conference football season would be unlike any other.

If the results from the league’s opening slate of games are any indication, the next 10 weeks will be even less predictable than our wildest imaginings.

Unranked Mississippi State won at defending national champion LSU. Vanderbilt, which won just three games a year ago, just missed an upset at No. 10 Texas A&M. Arkansas, winner of just two games in 2019, led No. 3 Georgia at halftime.

Only No. 2 Alabama’s season-opening blowout of Missouri lacked any real drama.
