LEXINGTON, Ky. – Mark Stoops appears to have found his quarterback of the future.

And unlike recent years when a four-star quarterback picked Kentucky early in the recruiting cycle only to flip to a traditional power before signing day, this time the commitment seems likely to stick.

Four-star Lexington Catholic quarterback Beau Allen pledged his future to Kentucky during a ceremony at his high school Monday afternoon. Allen, the son of former Kentucky quarterback Bill Allen, has long been the Wildcats’ top target in the 2020 class and picked his hometown school over Washington State, Duke, West Virginia, Michigan State and Georgia.
