One simple question can incite nostalgia and spark debate: who’s the best high school football player you’ve ever seen?
To ask the basketball version of the question is not as fun, thanks to AAU circuits and All-Star games that put prospects in the spotlight. Finding a hidden gem in football is rare. It’s also much more difficult to be head and shoulders above the competition in a sport with 21 other players on the field.
