The Kentucky Wildcats can win No. 9 Saturday but not the No. 9 that they expected would be on the line with the season winding down.
UK will play host to the South Carolina Gamecocks in the 2020-21 regular-season finale and will look to finish the season with nine wins overall.
The Cats and Gamecocks were previously scheduled to play on December 29 in what would’ve been each teams’ SEC opener, but the game was postponed due to COVID-19 issues at South Carolina.
Frank Martin’s Gamecocks have been impacted as much as anyone in the country by COVID, which has made this season a challenge as they will come to Rupp Arena with a 6-13 record and 4-11 conference mark.
