What Kentucky and John Calipari can learn from this year’s four Final Four teams

We are now just hours from tipping off from the Final Four, a Final Four that is one of the most bizarre, yet least bizarre fields in recent memory.

It’s bizarre because, well, look at the teams. Baylor is in its first Final Four since 1950. Houston since 1984. No one had heard of Gonzaga 25 years ago, before they slowly morphed into one of the most consistent programs in the sport. UCLA hasn’t really been the UCLA a previous generation remembers since the mid 1990’s.

So that’s why it’s weird, but here’s why it’s not: These were, for the most part, the best teams in college hoops all season.
