LEXINGTON — John Calipari says seeding will matter less in the NCAA Tournament this year due to parity across college basketball.
His Kentucky basketball team may need to hope he is right even after picking up back-to-back impressive road victories at Arkansas and Texas Tech.
“There were times I could remember being on phone calls and saying, ‘Look, guys, there’s eight teams that have a chance to win the national title and there’s 20 that have a chance to get to the Final Four,’” Calipari said last week before Kentucky’s 76-74 overtime win at Texas Tech.
