When a player hits eight threes in a game, it’s pretty easy to figure out where to start the highlight reel. Kam Williams was the star of Kentucky’s 99-85 win over Bellarmine, going 8-10 from beyond the arc and 2-2 from the free-throw line for a career-high 26 points in 22 minutes.
Williams’ eight threes are the most by a Kentucky player since Immanuel Quickley at Texas A&M in February 2020. They accounted for half of Kentucky’s 16 three-pointers, a season-high. Denzel Aberdeen had four of those, Jasper Johnson three. Bellarmine committed to playing zone, and the Cats shot their way out of it.
