It was no ordinary Thursday morning at Taylor County High School in Campbellsville, Kentucky, where today, Hayes Johnson committed to Kentucky Football in the school’s auditorium. A junior at Taylor County, Johnson is the top-ranked offensive lineman in the state of Kentucky and he closed his recruitment on Thursday with a verbal pledge to become a Wildcat.

“I wear Kentucky blue,” Johnson told the audience before he grabbed the University of Kentucky hat from the table, leaving Michigan State, Louisville, Tennessee, and Baylor behind.

Outside the auditorium doors, Kentucky Sports Radio broadcasted Thursday morning’s show live from the school lobby.
