WATCH: Eric Wolford mic’d up at Kentucky practice

Mark Stoops went to his Youngstown, Ohio roots to land the program’s new offensive line coach and Eric Wolford is passing some early tests. The 49-year-old offensive line coach was previously the head coach at FCS Youngstown State with stops at Arizona, Illinois, South Carolina, and in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers for two seasons in 2015 and 2016.

After a second stint in Columbia, S.C. working for Will Muschamp for the last four seasons, Wolford is staying in the SEC and will be in control on the Big Blue Wall in 2021. The new coach was a key point in the recruitment of blue-chipper Grant Bingham and the man they call “Wolf” knows he has big shoes to fill in that offensive line room.
