In his first press conference in Lexington as an assistant coach on John Calipari’s staff, Chin Coleman answered the question on a lot of UK Basketball fans’ minds: How did he earn the nickname, Chin?
“As you can see, I have the Jay Leno face,” Coleman said. “I’m handsome, but it’s kinda like the Jay Leno deal going on. I’ve had this same Jay Leno face ever since I was a kid, so imagine being in a little, small body with a Jay Leno-kinda face with the chin. So kids started calling me Chin on the playgrounds playing basketball, and it just stuck with me and I’ve never been able to get rid of it.
