A few months ago, Drew Franklin gave you a heads-up that Waka Flocka Flame may return to Kroger Field today ahead of his concert tonight in downtown Lexington. He was correct. Waka Flocka, the man behind Kentucky’s unofficial anthem, “Grove Street Party,” was on the sidelines today during the 42-10 win over Tennessee Tech.
It was the rapper’s first trip back to Kroger Field since 2021, when he watched the Cats beat Florida for the first time in Lexington since 1986. He was so excited that he rushed the field and partied in the locker room afterward.
