Vandy is Fined for Rushing the Court

After defeating Kentucky by 12-points on Saturday, the Vanderbilt students rushed the court at Memorial Gymnasium, costing the school a cool $100,000. It’s Vanderbilt’s second offense, paying $50,000 back in 2007 for rushing the court after defeating Florida. The third strike will cost the school $250,000.

I don’t think I’m the only person that thought it was a weak move by the Vandy students. I couldn’t believe that Cal actually emptied his bench before the final horn. I was even more surprised when they started slowly storming the court, even though I shouldn’t have been. I mean, what else does a Vanderbilt student have that is worth celebrating?
