Vanderbilt player issued flop warning against Kentucky – Here’s what that means

The game was stopped early in the first half of the Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt matchup when the Commodores’ Dylan Disu was assessed a “flop warning.” The official rule is listed as 4-10.1.C.4, and it’s used to identify faking a play, likely on a block, charge, 3-point shot or any other tactic used to “fool” the official.

College officials have been instructed to look for three specific types of flops before assessing the warning — jump shooters falling without being touched, players trying to draw a charge with little or no contact or a head snap to sell contact.
