USA Basketball has made its first cuts for the 2021 Men’s U19 World Cup Team, trimming the roster down to 17 players. Among the members included in the first list cut? Former Kentucky guard Devin Askew, who transferred to Texas this offseason.
Following four practices over the course of two days in Fort Worth, Texas, nine players from the original list of 26 players were cut, with Askew, Derek Fountain (Mississippi State), Dishon Jackson (Washington State), Meechie Johnson (Ohio State), Zed Key (Ohio State), Langston Love (Baylor signee), Hunter Sallis (Gonzaga signee), Dalen Terry (Arizona), Jaylin Williams (Arkansas) all being sent home.
