UK's John Calipari sees possible benefits in legalized sports gambling

CHICAGO – Count Kentucky coach John Calipari among the group that sees some possible benefits in the Supreme Court’s ruling that overturned a federal ban on sports betting.

“There’s all this money out here,” Calipari said at the NBA combine Friday. “The gambling is not going away. It’s there. Maybe everybody sharing it because it’s going to happen anyway.”

On Monday, the court justices rule 6-3 that the 25-year-old Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act is unconstitutional.
