A closed event will honor the life of John Schlarman.
According to a press release sent out by the University of Kentucky, the school will host a celebration at Kroger Field on Monday afternoon in order to properly send off Schlarman, who lost his battle against cancer this past Thursday at the age of 45. Due to COVID-19 protocols, the public is asked not to attend, but they will be able to watch through a virtual setting.
The celebration is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
Members of the current roster and coaching staff along with past and present Kentucky Athletics staff, UK football alumni, former coaches, and family friends of the Schlarmans have been invited to the event.
