Hayley Robic, the daughter of Kentucky men's basketball assistant coach John Robic, has died, head coach John Calipari tweeted out on Thursday.
Hayley, a University of Kentucky graduate, died Friday after battling liver cancer, according to Kentucky Sports Radio. She was 27.
"We are all devastated and grieving over the loss of Coach Robic's oldest daughter, Hayley," the tweet from Calipari's account read. "Please keep Robes and his family in your thoughts and prayers."
John Robic has worked with Calipari for more than 20 years, starting from their time at UMass in 1988-89. Now the special assistant to the head coach, John Robic helps with game plans, scouting opponents and breaking down film, among other duties.
