UK alum Sydney McLaughlin breaks world record to qualify for Tokyo Olympics

Former Kentucky track star Sydney McLaughlin is going to Tokyo. She'll do so as the world-record holder in the 400-meter hurdles.

McLaughlin broke the world record by finishing the final of the U.S. Olympic Trials in 51.9 seconds, becoming the first woman ever to break 52 seconds in the event. The previous world-record holder Dalilah Muhammad finished second in the event.
