TyTy Washington makes record-setting case as Kentucky's point guard

LEXINGTON – TyTy Washington is the wingman who dazzles your date. He is the sidekick too skilled for a subordinate role, a marvel arguably miscast by Kentucky coach John Calipari.

Switched to point guard Saturday because of Sahvir Wheeler’s injured neck, Washington made a convincing case for the move to be made permanent. He set a UK single-game record with 17 assists in the Wildcats’ 92-77 victory over Georgia, scored 17 points and was charged with only two turnovers in a performance that underscored the depth of talent and offensive options at Calipari’s disposal.

Simply stated, TyTy was TerrificTerrific.
